• Function

1.Changing the direction of airflow: As a pipe fitting, its basic function is to change the direction of the pipeline, enabling the intake pipeline to bypass obstacles or adapt to the spatial layout of the excavator's engine compartment, ensuring the rational arrangement of the intake system.

2.Ensuring the stability of airflow: Its bending angle and length are precisely calculated to reduce airflow fluctuations and pressure losses, improving the stability of the airflow. Stable airflow is beneficial for the engine to obtain a sufficient and continuous supply of fresh air, which in turn ensures the stable operation of the engine under different working conditions.

3.Facilitating the mixing of EGR exhaust gas and fresh air: In some cases, the side wall of the elbow is provided with an EGR exhaust gas inlet connected to the EGR pipe. By arranging the EGR exhaust gas inlet close to the fresh air inlet end of the elbow, the EGR exhaust gas and fresh gas can be fully and evenly mixed, ensuring that the EGR rate of each cylinder is basically the same, so as to ensure more uniform combustion in the combustion chambers of each cylinder and improve the NVH performance of the engine.
